21 July – Guide in a Hide

Sunday 21st July 10.00 AM – 3.00 PM

We are delighted that this Guide in an Hide event will be “twinned’ and in partnership with a birdwatching event at Scots Float Sluice and Union Channel, hosted by VolkerStevin. It is a unique chance to see the Union Channel as it will be opened for one day only during the ongoing flood defence works.

VolkerStevin will also open their Visitor Centre where tea and cake will be served and there will be displays about the history of the river and work being done, together with wildlife observations.

Staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions and to direct you to the Union Channel. Some of our Guide in a Hide team of volunteers will also be on hand with binoculars and telescopes to show visitors the birds.

Just drop-in between 11am and 2pm, at VolkerStevin Visitor Centre, Military Road, TN31 7PH.
